At Baltimore’s Funeral Florist, our mission has always been to honor life’s most sacred moments with authenticity, empathy, and artistry. Today, we want to share important news that may affect the floral designs we create for you and your loved ones.
As of April 2025, the U.S. government has implemented sweeping tariffs on imported goods, including a 10% universal tariff and additional country-specific increases—up to 25% on Colombian imports and as high as 130% on goods from China. These changes directly impact the floral industry, as Colombia supplies a significant portion of the world’s cut flowers, and China provides essential floral supplies such as vases, ribbons, and design tools.
What This Means for You:
- Rising Costs: The cost of imported flowers and supplies has surged. While we are doing everything possible to absorb these increases, some price adjustments may be necessary to maintain the quality and care you expect.
- Limited Availability: Certain blooms—especially specialty stems like roses in unique colors and even some tropicals — may be limited or temporarily unavailable due to supply chain disruptions.
- Design Adaptations: You may notice more locally grown and seasonal flowers in our arrangements. We view this as an opportunity to highlight the beauty of American-grown blooms while continuing to honor your stories with grace and intention.
We remain committed to transparency, creativity, and compassion. Our team is actively working with trusted growers and suppliers to navigate these challenges and ensure that every arrangement reflects the heart and legacy of our brand.
Thank you for your continued trust and understanding. We are here to serve you with continued support and love.
Warmly,
